LEGO Octopus at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Arizona

A gigantic LEGO Octopus greets visitors to Arizona Mills Mall outside the entrance between LEGOLAND Discovery Center Arizona and SEA LIFE Arizona.

The water fountain below the sculpture provides a fun welcome to excited children for their first visit and welcomes back LEGO fans for return visits.

If you have not seen the giant undersea creature in person, be prepared for the size when you see it the first time. It stands taller than most adults.

Thousands of LEGO bricks were used to create the undersea sculpture where three scubadivers, also made of LEGO bricks, are captured in the tentacles of the octopus.

The view at nighttime is also beautiful with the lights from the fountain dancing on the octopus’ tentacles.

For new guests to the indoor playground who are not sure of where the attraction is located in relationship to the mall, just drive around the perimiter of the mall until you see the gigantic yellow building and this octopus. Odds are your children will spot it before you do.

Be sure to stop and take a picture with the LEGO octopus but don’t stay too long. He has a few tentacles ready to discover anyone who lingers too long.

Not sure about what to expect at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Arizona? Take a look at video of the ribbon cutting ceremony and media event inside Arizona’s indoor playground.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Arizona is located inside Arizona Mills Mall at 5000 S. Arizona Mills Circle, Suite 135, Tempe, Arizona 85282. With the giant LEGO Octopus outside, you cannot miss it.
